What I Do

Since 2019 I have been servicing families in Washington

My dog training journey began in 2019 when I took my dog, Charlie, in for training. My trainer, who later became my mentor, saw the spark I had with dogs and how naturally I worked with them. He soon asked me if I was looking for a job and told me I would make a great dog trainer. I came in the next day for an interview and the rest became history. A year later, I ventured off to make my own business due to approximately 23 million households acquiring a pet during the COVID-19 crisis. I quickly saw the disparity in training quality and cost, and how dogs were being rehomed because owners did not have access to basic training. I decided then and there that I would work with clients when it came to cost and time commitments, as we all are living our own lives and working with our own obstacles. Dog training fills a part of my heart I never knew was empty. With my skills, I hope to create a bond between you and your beloved pet that is unbreakable.

Dog training was always a vision of mine growing up. As a child, you could find me training my family’s rottweiler/black lab mix, Annie, how to jump through my hula hoops. These days, in my free time, you can catch me doing agility with my dog Persephone and curled up with a good book with Charlie. Persephone is always thrilled to come with me to clients’ houses who are working on dog introductions and learning to play. She is excitable and happy, a truly great playmate for energetic dogs and puppies alike.

Training dogs is a great passion of mine and I strive to treat every dog with equal love and respect. I do not discriminate by breed and welcome dogs of all ages and backgrounds. Here at Paladin Pet Services, I do not use prong collars, choke chains, shock collars, or any adverse tools to teach.

What People Are Saying

Kim is a wonderful dog trainer and I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional dog trainer. My pup really responded to her positive reinforcement training! Incredibly, by our second lesson my 6-month old puppy had learned ‘wait’ and would sit patiently on the other side of the room until we said specifically “OK”. Highly recommend the 6 lesson package, great deal and well worth it. Thanks Kim!

Kim is definitely a ‘Dog Whisperer’. We have worked with her throughout our Pitsky’s first year and have achieved wonderful things! Kim is patient but at the same time no-nonsense and the genuine care and concern she has for our dog is clear in her training techniques and how she handles him. I would recommend Kim to anyone who wants to train their dog with love, kindness and stability.

Working with Paladin Pet Services helped us SO much with our puppy! Puppies are great, but there were definitely phases of puppyhood where everything felt out of control and like ours had ruined life as we knew it with constant barking, getting into things he shouldn’t, and all manner of other things. Kim showed us that there was hope, trained our sweet puppy and trained us as well, and left us with helpful instructions we could refer back to when she wasn’t here to help directly. We saw immediate difference with his problem behaviors! I highly recommend Paladin Pet Services, especially for puppy training. It’s a great investment in your sanity!

So thankful for Kim! She has been so patient with my husband and I while training our goofy high energy golden retriever, Murphy. We are all growing in this experience and that’s what I absolutely love about it. She empowers us to empower our pup!
